Very quaint and lovely with great view
Well worth a visit. A very interesting place and with gorgeous views over the countryside. The only downside is that access for disabled would be extremely difficult.
The gardens are inspirational -- however, after visiting nearby Restormal we visited here to learn the history of Trematon and its surrounds. Although the gardens are beautiful we were disappointed to discover so much emphasis placed on the gardens and very little information available regarding the history. We were informed that last year there had been laminated sheets reprinted from a 1960s magazine available, that they had disappeared, and not been replaced. This is a shame: as we paid the 8 (no concessions) fee we were given a leaflet (of the gardens) with little information regarding its long and interesting history.
Lovely thought out and colourful gardens, lots to see, some of it still under development, but don't let that put you off. Very friendly staff and owners. Fantastic cakes!
Gardens have a great deal of potential for the future. Great setting but the entrance fee is possibly a little excessive for what's currently on offer. Clearly a work in progress.
