I'd call it the best car auction in the area, if it wasn't almost the only one :-)The cars are available for limited inspection out in the open, and the auction space is a covered building with a fee racks of tiered seating which the cars are driven through by staff.Dealers dispose of part-exchange vehicles here, including many big names. That's not necessarily because there's anything badly wrong with them - it's just that they have more profitable things to put on their limited forecourt space.There are also commercial fleet vehicles and private vendors and the occasional incredibly cheap runabout. Repossessed vehicles turn up too - and are sometimes quite fancy.Register before you bid. The staff are good, but sometimes hard-pressed. Make those arrangements in advance, and attend several auctions to get a feel for it first.Vehicles are available for viewing for days before the auction, and you can now bid online, which is handy if you have to travel.However - buyer beware. These vehicles are given an inspection, but there are faults. If you know what you're doing (or know someone who does) these can typically be fixed , and still be a bargain. If you don't, you are taking a gamble that might go sour.That's not a criticism of the company at all. They are great. It's an auction, is all.Finally, factor the auction fees into your budget.Research is everything here. Don't attend an auction cold and hope for the best. If you are a private buyer, set a budget and stick to it absolutely. There are always going to meet cars there next week and patience pays.
